Esteemed Gardener Grows Enrollment Again

Washington, N.C. – March 2, 2017 – enrollmentFUEL announces the addition of Susan Klopman to its consulting team. Klopman served as Vice President for Admissions and Financial Planning at Elon University for more than a decade, a period that saw some of Elon’s most transformative years of enrollment growth and campus excellence. Klopman is known as a pioneer in deconstructing traditional enrollment management methods to respond to the changing environment in admissions and financial aid.

Throughout her 27-year tenure at the university, Klopman held many senior-level positions, including assistant to long-time president J. Fred Young. In 1993, she joined the admissions office as assistant dean, overseeing application reviews and annual communications with more than 60,000 prospective students. She was named dean of admissions in 2000 and was promoted to vice president in 2006, leading all of Elon’s undergraduate and graduate enrollment, financial aid and admissions marketing operations.

“Susan Klopman built a tremendous legacy of success, creating one of the nation’s finest university admissions offices,” current Elon president Leo Lambert said. “She enabled Elon to grow its enrollment, increase the academic qualifications of entering students and attract applications from excellent students from across the country and around the world. Susan was the architect of undergraduate and graduate admissions strategies that are models for many others in higher education.”

At enrollmentFUEL, Klopman will serve as the firm’s lead consultant for Strategic Enrollment Leadership and Planning. She will advise and counsel college presidents, cabinets, and board leaders.

“We are so excited to add Susan to our team,” shared Mike Wesner, enrollmentFUEL founder and Chief Imagination Officer. “She will add tremendously to the remarkable insight provided by the enrollmentFUEL solution.  Her complex enrollment planning acumen for upper-level higher education leadership will position many aspirant schools for enrollment growth.  She is a trusted professional who can help leaders effectively reach new markets.”
