She has been in higher education for over a decade with experience in both student & academic services. She has been a Slate administrator for both Undergraduate and Graduate instances. She always eager to learn of new ways to assist the needs of others through their Slate instance whether it’s help desk questions, auditing, or query/report building. Janelle has worked in higher education since 2015, bringing nearly a decade of experience from Southern Adventist University in Tennessee. Before joining enrollmentFUEL, she served as the Systems Specialist for Enrollment Management, where she focused on simplifying complex systems to improve user experience and efficiency. One of her favorite aspects of her work is listening, getting to know each partner’s unique process and challenges so she can develop Slate solutions that make their work easier and more effective.
Originally from Hawaii, Janelle earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. She has a deep love for travel and seeing the world, but she’s just as happy at home with her husband and their fur babies in a small town near Greenville, South Carolina. Together, they enjoy tackling DIY renovation projects, having flipped their last two homes, and supporting the ministry of the churches where her husband pastors.
Kylie touts over a decade of experience in higher education and a deep passion for making processes simpler for colleagues and students alike. Most recently serving as the inaugural Slate Captain at Georgia Southern University, Kylie led the university’s digital transformation efforts, supporting two Slate instances, building workflows, training campus partners, and launching major projects like Common App integration and undergraduate application processing. She’s known for approaching Slate like a puzzle—loving the challenge of building queries and systems that make work easier and spark new ideas.
Kylie’s favorite projects are often the most complex, including streamlining dual-enrollment processes, creating academic reporting tools, and navigating evolving requirements during major system integrations. She has thrived as an internal consultant, keeping her coffee close and her focus sharp through time blocking and a solutions-first mindset.
Outside of work, Kylie is an award-winning knitter, an avid gardener, and a devoted cat rescuer (her home has unintentionally become a small feline haven). She loves to travel—next stop: an Alaskan cruise. In every role, Kylie brings a genuine desire to Deliver & Delight, always adding that extra touch to exceed expectations.
